• As with many other countries with strong religious foundations, you shouldn’t visit churches or monasteries in Greece if you have bare legs and/or bare arms.  While there are many monasteries which provide cover-ups if you are unprepared, it is preferable to show respect by wearing loose trousers or a long dress – and how hard is it to throw a pashmina in your handbag?
  • As with many European cities and towns, DON’T assume that a Zebra crossing means traffic will stop for you.  Always check the way is clear before you enter a crossing.
